Pedestrian activity will be greatly enhanced with the relocation of the existing 1333 Gough building lobby entrance to Post Street. Street level amenities, including a resident bike storage facility, will contribute to a livelier neighborhood atmosphere.
The design calls for the replacement of the existing above-ground parking structure and creating a vibrant pedestrian friendly corridor connecting the future home of California Pacific Medical Center's (CPMC) at Van Ness on the east to Japantown on the west.
Augmenting the project with robust open space; the well-lit integrated landscape plans, along with the creation of ground level amenities, will contribute to a walkable environment.
In addition to the positive energy created by 262 new residential condominiums, the creation of ground level neighborhood-serving amenities and enlivened streetscapes will aid in the tranformation to a new pedestrian friendly neighborhood streetscape.
