Pedestrian safety will be enhanced by the removal of curbcuts at the busiest intersection and replaced by bulb-outs in order to provide greater pedestrian access to Saint Mary’s Cathedral and other points south.
Renovation and expansion of the existing 1333 Gough Fitness Center, which includes moving the entrance to Geary Boulevard and a neighborhood-serving pool at street level, will add vitality to the street with an expanse of floor to ceiling windows.
In addition to the positive energy created by 262 new residential condominiums, new neighborhood-serving amenities will include a convenient Mid-Block Crossing on Post Street at Octavia (allowing pedestrian bypass to Geary Boulevard).
